This page explains how Stella Tarot generates a reading. Readings combine the traditional symbolic language of tarot with an AI-assisted interpreter that shapes the message into a private, reflective voice. Nothing here is intended as medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.

How a reading is generated

When a seeker asks a question, Stella Tarot draws one or more cards from the 78-card deck using a cryptographically seeded shuffle. The chosen cards, their orientation, and the question are passed to a large language model instructed to speak in Stella's voice — quiet, symbolic, reflective. The model does not predict the future; it interprets the symbolic weight of the cards in relation to the question so the seeker can think, feel and choose more clearly.

Traditional symbolism vs. AI-assisted interpretation

Card meanings are grounded in the Western tarot tradition — Rider-Waite-Smith, the Marseille tradition, and the Major Arcana as systematised in the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. AI is used only to weave those meanings into the specific question. It does not invent new cards, numerology or correspondences.

Papus, Kabbalah, Christian mysticism, Jung and Lacan

Deeper interpretations, especially in the Major Arcana Book, draw from Papus's symbolic key linking Hebrew letters and archetypes, the Kabbalistic tree-of-life map, Christian mystical language of the soul's journey, Jung's archetypes of the collective unconscious (Shadow, Anima, Self), and Lacan's insight that desire is structured by language and lack. These are used as symbolic vocabulary, not religious doctrine.

Privacy and limits

Stella Tarot does not require an account, does not store readings against a personal profile, and does not sell your data. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details never touch Stella Tarot's systems. Tarot reflects; it does not decide. It cannot diagnose illness, predict legal outcomes, or replace professional advice.
